Smithton Airport is a small Australian regional Airport. Located on Tasmania’s North-West tip. Smithton is just a 30 minute flight from King Island and a 1 hour flight from Moorabbin in Victoria. This makes it an ideal and affordable option for passenger travel to and from King Island and the Australian mainland.
Recently under new management Smithton Airport’s facilities are to be upgraded to allow for more incoming flights anytime of day or night. There are plans to update the passenger terminal, build more hangers and lease out space to more tenants.

User friendly terminal with waiting room, toilets and tourism information for the local area. *Use of terminal facilities by prior arrangement only.
Access To/From The Aircraft
Access from the Terminal to the Aircraft is flat open tarmac and allows easy access to and from the terminal to the aircraft. Airline staff will offer assistance for boarding and disembarkation.
Public Telephones
There are no public telephones in the terminal. If there are staff at the service counter they will happily contact Taxis etc if requested.
